Dust in the Wind?
Have you ever wondered where dust comes from? It just seems to generate itself out of thin air. Volumes of the stuff seems to appear, if even you ‘dust’ frequently. Where does it come from?
If you asked your average dust pundit he will tell you that the number one indoor source is dead skin. Really? Yuck? Yeah, the average human gives off 30,000 to 40,000 dead skin cells every minute (who’s counting?). And if you have pets they are likewise losing skin cells, and hair. Who woulda thunk? But also there is the obvious bringing in of dirt, pollen, mold, and particles from the outside. Then there is the carpet, bed clothes, drapes, furniture fabric giving off particles. Personally, I don’t know if I believe this, and would like to see these little guys caught in action on camera.
So that is the official story on indoor dust. But let me ask you if you recall going into a room that has been shut off from the rest of the house, maybe locked up for months or years, and what do you notice immediately upon opening the door. Piles of dust. Now there were no humans or pets about, no bringing in of particles from the outside, no fabrics on furniture being used, and yet the dust accumulates unabated. So, I am thinking these dust scholars are just taking guesses. It seems as likely to me that dust is being quantum teleported into our space and time from a destination across the universe that has an overabundance of the stuff. Who knows? Meanwhile, I don’t see vacuums and dusters going out of business anytime soon.
